Creating Content For O2 That Gets Noticed

I led O2’s social media growth by creating campaigns that genuinely engaged the audience and boosted awareness. I produced sports content, competitions and interviews while working closely with England Rugby, The O2 Arena and agencies like VCCP and M&C Saatchi.

I also expanded the brand’s digital presence across music, lifestyle and food and drink, delivering campaigns that supported the business’s key goals.ed

The Challenge

The brand launched new sports media channels without a clear strategy or team to lead them. An external agency delivered a high-level roadmap, but with no internal ownership, the channels lacked direction and engagement.

This had created a disconnect between strategy and activation, with no dedicated team or long-term plan in place.

The Approach

I was appointed to lead the project, I built and led a team to develop a five-year fan-first strategy focused on:

  • Exclusive behind-the-scenes content.

  • Community building through interactive content and live matchday coverage.

  • Influencer partnerships and paid media support.

  • Regular reporting and strategy optimisation.
